Which ballot will I get?

Ballots differ by precinct. The OK Voter Portal shows the sample ballot for each voter’s own precinct. ^1,2 At check-in, a voter may be issued “a ballot (or multiple ballots).” ²

Precinct 610004

The sample ballots on this site are the two published for Pittsburg County precinct 610004 for Nov. 3, 2026: the General Election ballot and the City of McAlester ballot. ^3,4

County ballot (610004-REGNP). Every voter in the precinct gets this ballot. It has straight-party voting, 12 partisan contests from Governor to County Sheriff, nine judicial retention questions, State Questions 845 and 847, and the Pittsburg County lodging-tax proposition. ³
City of McAlester ballot (610004-MCAL). Voters who live inside McAlester city limits also get this second ballot. ⁴ It has one question, the City of McAlester proposition to raise the city hotel tax from 6% to 10%. ⁴ Only registered voters of the City of McAlester decide it. ⁵

The county and city lodging-tax questions are separate propositions with different terms. ⁵ A McAlester resident in this precinct votes on both: the county question is on the county ballot, and the city question is on the city ballot. ^3,4

Other precincts in Pittsburg County

County Commissioner: the county is divided into three commissioner districts, and each commissioner is elected by the voters of that district. ⁶ The only commissioner race on the Nov. 3 ballot is District 3. ⁷ Voters in Districts 1 and 2 will not have a county commissioner contest. ^7,6
Other contests: for Pittsburg County, the State Election Board’s list shows the same statewide, federal, County Sheriff, judicial retention and state-question contests that appear on the precinct 610004 ballot. It shows one U.S. House contest (District 2) and no state legislative contests. ⁷
Local questions: the list shows two local questions in Pittsburg County on Nov. 3: the Pittsburg County proposition and the City of McAlester proposition. ⁷ No other city, town or school district question is listed for the county. ⁷ Voters outside McAlester city limits therefore get the county ballot only. ⁷
